Analysis
I am going to be analyzing the "Top Gun" music video of Kenny Loggins "The danger zone" that we viewed in class yesterday. In the movie Kenny Loggins was in a bedroom thus portraying that "danger" could lurk anywhere. He also shows the "love scene" that shows that love is as dangerous a place to be as anywhere else. He had the rugged look going on with the scruffy beard and the messed hair, dark casual clothes and a sweaty look to him. This helped to get across the point of living life on the edge and taking chances, thus living in "the danger zone". Love was paralleled with the fighting pilots taking chances, you either have to go for the "gusto" or go home! With love you can not give part way and expect to get far, you have to give it your all or not try at all. You always want to be the "top gun" which would explain the name of the movie and trying to get the prettiest girl and "conquer" that is what the music video seemed to portray as well. He used the look of "danger" being "cool" because these were attractive people doing attractive tempting things and seeming to have a good time with little to no negative consequences this would appeal to the youth that are in their rebellious and hormone ridden part of their lives.
